London is a city that speaks to me. A lifelong Anglophile, every time I step off the plane at Heathrow, I am excited by the new adventures that await me. In 1927, Clause Friese-Greene filmed various locations across the city with his newfangled colour film camera. The film was recently restored by the British Film Institute, and shared with the public. Director Simon Smith, filmed in the exact locations as Friese-Greene and tried to capture similar moments as in the 1927 images. It’s rather amazing how little London has actually changed in the last 86 years, and goes to show that beauty stands the test of time.
